UP TOPS (Universal Providers and Transporters of Products in Space) is a new subsidiary of the Rio Rancho Robo Runners (R4) Robotics, a leading innovator in the world of robotics for eight years. R4 has been involved with a variety of projects since 2005, which include gathering escaped genetically modified insects, sorting materials on a construction floor, and collecting and assembling parts for an airplane. UP TOPS is comprised of 29 bright employees eager to get the job done.
Our newest project for the B.E.S.T 2012 WARP XX event given to us by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), enlists R4 employees to construct an unmanned robotic prototype that will transport cargo into space using the Space Elevator. R4's efficient robotic lifting vehicle, named the COLONIZER, is able to collect objects of various sizes and shapes, as well as climb the Space Elevator's existing nanotube. R4 has proven to be hard working and reliable, and believes that UP TOPS is the right choice to the further advancement of the world's premiere space transportation project, the Space Elevator.
